Princess Lalla Salma of Morocco is on vacation in Mykonos with her son, heir to the throne, Moulay Hassan.

A huge motorcade of ultra-luxury cars set off from the airport runway and escorted the princess and her son to the villa they had rented. Ten of these vehicles were only used to transport their luggage, Mykonoslive.tv reports.

It adds that the Princess was not particularly impressed by the villa decoration, so she ordered three truckloads of furniture on another flight.

Lalla Salma and her son were spotted walking in the picturesque alleys where the camera of Mykonos Live TV recorded them. They were dressed casually and if their costumed personal security men didn’t accompany them you’d think they were just tourists.

Mykonos, Peloponnese and Skiathos the favorite spots for the Morocco Princess

Princess Lalla Salma was married for 16 years to the King of Morocco, Mohammed IV. In 2018, she divorced but kept the title of former queen-princess, since she is the mother of Crown Prince Moulay Hassan.

Three years before their divorce the royal couple visited Greece and spent about 5 million euros for their 7-day vacation in the Ilia region, on the western coast of Peloponnese.

The Moroccan royal family’s guard consisted of around 70 men and women of the Royal Guard, and 50 Greek police officers from Ilia and Achaia. They were being pampered by their faithful servants, butlers, trainers, cooks and other staff.

During their stay, thrones, red carpets, tents, marbles, portraits of the King, as well as food, drinks and thousands of other objects were delivered to Ilia, while a big part of the beach in front of the hotel they stayed was specifically configured for them so they can enjoy their breakfast, lunch and dinner.

In July 2019, Lalla Salma was seen taking a holiday with her firstborn, Prince Moulay Hassan, in Skiathos, Greece.

She founded the Lalla Salma Foundation to combat cancer, became a World Health Organization Goodwill Ambassador, and works to stop the spread of HIV/Aids in Africa.

She was also a trailblazer for women at the court with her signature style of wearing trousers in public and abstaining from the use of a headscarf in a Muslim country.

Celebrities flock to Mykonos

Lalla Salma is the latest celebrity for holidays in Mykonos this summer.

In June global pop star Kylie Minogue was spotted on the cosmopolitan island.

Minogue’s holiday schedule in Mykonos included a boat ride for a swim in the turquoise waters around the island. This was the third time in the last decade that Kylie has visited Mykonos.

In 2016, she vacationed on the island with her then-fiancé Joshua Sasse, while in 2021 she was on the Greek island as part of the filming of Germany’s Next Top Model, as she was a member of the jury of the German reality show.

Earlier, American actress Lindsay Lohan was spotted on Mykonos, her favorite Greek island she visited several times recently.

The Hollywood star was visiting the Cycladic Island again this year, and Mykonos Live TV spotted her in the alleys while she enjoyed her walk with good friends and her Arab Emirati husband, Bader Shammas.
