Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz won this year’s Wimbledon men’s singles title on Sunday in a fascinating final in London, United Kingdom.

In what was destined to become a thrilling rematch of last year’s Wimbledon final, the 21-year-old Spanish sensation Alcaraz emerged yet again victorious against the living tennis legend and seven-time champion Novak Djokovic.

The Spanish athlete dispatched his opponent 6-2, 6-2 and 7-6 in a thrilling game.

This victory offered the young Spaniard his second consecutive Wimbledon men’s singles title, establishing him at the top of the most prestigious tennis champions of 2024. The highly anticipated clash took place on the Centre Court and was watched by Catherine (Kate), the Princess of Wales, in a rare public appearance after she was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year.

The 2024 Wimbledon final repeated last year’s battle where the hopeful from Spain played –and won– against the seasoned veteran Djokovic who is 37 years old. Alcaraz has already been a three-time Grand Slam champion despite his very young age.

During the game, he showed the same levels of determination, tenacity and courage that his followers are used to lately.
