Natalia Lionaki: The actress abandoned everything many years ago and now lives in Kenya.

Natalia Lionaki decided many years ago to dedicate her life to religion.

The actress, who has been ordained as a nun named Fevronia, is now located in the Kisumu area of Kenya, and Bishop Marcos provided some information about her life on the “Morning” show.

As he mentioned on the show: “The nun Fevronia has been there for years, along with other nuns, under my blessed predecessor.

I only know that she exists, I haven’t dealt with her history at all. Now with the nuns who are there, they help us in our work. They are building the monastery.”

Later, Bishop Marcos refuted the news that wanted Natalia Lionaki to be in Greece to sell prayer ropes. “Their life is there. When someone devotes themselves to the work of the church, they remain in their monastery, unless they need to go abroad for urgent work,” he said.

Finally, he emphasized: “The three nuns we have are happy, joyful, because they live for Christ. I wouldn’t like to speak personally about this specific nun.

I can speak generally about all of them. They survive, as I said, on Orthodoxy, on prayer. Besides, their life is monastic.”

From Natalia Lionaki to Nun Fevronia

Natalia Lionaki was ordained as a nun under the name Fevronia, at the Holy Temple of Saint Mark in Kenya, in 2017. The public knew her from her role in the TV series “Ambitions,” and while her career was on the rise, she decided to abandon everything and dedicate herself to God.

“It’s like a window opening inside you and light coming in. My decision is conscious. You feel what is calling you, and you simply wake up one day and externalize it. Since I was young, I had a inclination towards God. Here I found peace and tranquility.

Here I pray for myself and for the whole world. I have found my home in God’s home,” she said in 2017 in statements to protothema.gr.

She had also mentioned her mother, who never understood why her daughter suddenly decided to abandon everything and join a monastery.

“I have no communication with anyone, exactly because when you decide to leave everything, it’s not that you don’t love. On the contrary, you love even more and in a different way, and the feeling, perception, and experience of things are completely different.

It’s not that there is no love. Tell my mother and my friends that I’m okay. I don’t blame my mother; it’s normal for her to worry. One day she will understand my decision,” she had said.
