Google is set to unveil its new AI in December. Project Jarvis, as it’s been codenamed, is expected to take the AI world by storm, assisting users with tasks like researching, purchasing products, and booking flights.
Project Jarvis is set to be powered by a version of Google Gemini that has not yet been released to the public. The new AI is also reportedly only going to work with a web browser, with it being specifically tuned to work with Google Chrome.
Unlike Google Gemini however, project Jarvis is meant to automate everyday web tasks for people.
How will Google’s project Jarvis work?
Google’s new AI tool will work by taking and interpreting screenshots from your everyday web tasks, or by entering commands through text. Major tech outlets have already reported that Project Jarvis only takes a few seconds to execute actions.
Despite sounding pretty revolutionary, Google is not alone in developing automation AI tools for web tasks. Project Jarvis joins Microsoft’s Copilot Vision, which will let you interact live with the AI as you are viewing a web page.
Apple is also set to join these developments, as Apple intelligence is also expected to include a variation of this technology, with the AI also being aware of what’s on your screen.
Google is also working on AI agents code-named Project Jarvis that would complete everyday tasks for you.

Google to make crucial announcements in December
Industry experts have tipped December as a crucial month for major AI-related announcements, as both Google and OpenAI are expected to make major announcements. The AI race is heating up this winter, and the name of the game seems to be who can do who, in terms of features and upcoming projects.
Besides project Jarvis, Google is also aiming to release its next major LLS system, in Gemini 2.0. This coincides with OpenAI’s major announcement of its Orion system, which is speculated to be some sort of GPT5 model, although at this time it is not certain.
Elon Musk’s xAI and Meta’s Llama are slightly behind in the AI race. Both companies are in the process of training their AI models but unlike Google and OpenAI neither company is ready for a December 2024 release, at least not as of right now.
XAI is currently training Grok 3 with 100,000 Nvidia H100s at its new, super-expensive supercomputer in Memphis, Tennessee. This is an almost unprecedented amount of computing ‘muscle’, that can be used for ultra-accurate medical predictions, medical breakthroughs, and creating photorealist virtual worlds.
The lab at xAI just released an API which means It won’t only be accessible to users with X.com subscriptions. It remains to be seen whether Google’s project Jarvis will be enough to challenge OpenAI’s status as the “Kings of AI.”
