Who's Your Favorite Film Heroine ?
I think one of the heroines I’ve always liked the most is Beatrice in “Much Ado About Nothing.” I think it has a lot to do with Emma Thompson’s portrayal in the film. So, maybe it’s Emma Thompson.
Who’s Your Favorite Director ?
My favorite directors? Oh, my goodness, there are so many. Steven Spielberg, though, at the top of the list. Steven, I think, is… I’m not going to use his first name because that makes it sound like, you know, he’s my best friend, Steven Spielberg. He’s probably the reason I became an actor. I don’t know what I would be if I wasn’t an actor.
What would You do if You didn’t Act ?
I really genuinely enjoyed working in a pub. That’s the only job I ever had apart from acting. And cleaning. Erm, and I didn’t love cleaning as much, so… Yeah, I like the control of being behind a bar, so maybe a barmaid?

What’s your Favorite Soundtrack ?
My new Favorite soundtrack is “All Quiet on the Western Front,” which has a kind of amazing mix of classical and contemporary sounds in it that’s just really stunning.
What makes you most unhappy in a Film ?
What makes me most unhappy in a film is when you meet a set of characters, and then suddenly you jump back, like, 60 years and meet everyone else, or the parents of the people that you’re watching. And then I sort of lose interest completely, in all of them.
