New York City urologist Darius Paduch has been called “sadistic” after 310 cases were filed against him for the exploitation of male victims.

The 310 cases filed against a singular abuser is the largest case of male victims in history. Plaintiff lawyer Anthony T. DiPietro said, “Darius Paduch exploited more male patients than any predator in history.”

DiPietro believes that the 310 victims who have stood against Paduch thus far are not the only ones, and that there are potentially “thousands of victims and survivors.” According to the Manhattan Supreme Court filings regarding this case, the age range of Paduch’s victims ranges from minors to the elderly.

According to the Supreme Court filings, Paduch would inject serum into the victim’s penises, forcing prolonged erections. He would also attempt penis enlargements which resulted in the disfigurement of several patient’s penises. Paduch forced some patients to get down on all fours for examinations, and he performed cystoscopies, which involved placing a tube in a patient’s urethra without any anesthetics, putting patients in severe pain.

Paduch was arrested in April 2023 and criminally convicted in federal court in May 2023 on 13 counts of sexual abuse. The urologist now faces 60 years in prison.

Paduch was a urologist at Weill Cornell Medical Center, New York Presbyterian Hospital, Columbia University, and Northwell Health Systems for over 17 years. The employers are included in the civil-class action suit DiPietro filed in August 2023 along with Paduch.

“Patients trust these so-called ‘top hospitals’ to provide safe and proper medical care for deeply personal conditions. Patients don’t go into a medical office thinking they are going to be exploited by some deviant criminal in a white lab coat,” DiPietro said.

The court filings against Darius Paduch

In a statement provided by DiPietro, a mother of one of the victims said, “It’s worse than I could have ever imagined. Learning of what happened on those visits has nearly killed me.”

The court filings say that he would measure some patients’ penises and use sex toys on them. There were times when Paduch would play pornographic movies and make patients masturbate in front of him or would masturbate them himself, according to the court filings.

One patient had seen him for a decade, starting at just seven years old and another at thirteen years old. There was another victim in the court filings who said his penis was “bruised for weeks” after Paduch squeezed it.

According to The Mirror, Paduch’s lawyer attempted to dismiss the class action suit in July but was rejected.

“The one thing that all these places, all these cases, have in common is that these individual predators have had a billion-dollar, multi-billion-dollar corporation that’s conspiring with them and helping them cover up the abuse,” DiPietro said.
