Some of the highest-profile CEOs and Tech giants in the United States have shown concern and support for President Donald Trump after he was the target of an assassination attempt.
An example of these supporting voices is none other than Mark Cuban. Despite him being a known Biden supporter, he raised his concerns through his X account (formerly known as Twitter) and condemned these events.
The businessman said he hoped “the ex-president was okay, and no one else was hurt.” He added, “He hopes the perpetrator is caught.”
The main voice of endorsement, Elon Musk
Elon Musk needs no introduction. The CEO of Tesla openly endorsed ex-president Trump on his website, X. He went back on his promise not to support any candidate in the 2024 election financially.
Musk had recently donated to a pro-Trump political action committee. He also praised Trump for being “The toughest presidential candidate since Theodore Roosevelt.” Musk has been criticized for seemingly supporting more radical republican views, especially in the context of immigration.
Tim Cook and Mark Zuckerberg show their support for Trump
Apple CEO Tim Cook normally does not get involved in U.S. politics. But in the wake of Trump’s failed assassination attempt, he also took to X to express his concern. Cook stated, “I pray for the quick recovery of President Trump. My thoughts are with him, the other victims, and the Trump family. I condemn this violence.”
Mark Zuckerberg also expressed his sympathy for President Trump, but he did so through threads, wishing President Trump a quick recovery.
Zuckerberg also lifted the bans imposed on President Trump’s meta accounts after the failed assassination attempt.
This is especially telling given that Trump has threatened Mark Zuckerberg with throwing him into jail if he was to be reelected. He credits Zuckerberg with being one of the largest election fraudsters.
Other tech moguls showed their support for President Trump
In addition to Elon Musk, Tim Cook, and Mark Zuckerberg, other high-profile tech moguls showed their support for Trump.
Airbnb CEO, Brian Chesky also expressed his relief for President Trump’s well-being and wished him a speedy recovery through X.
Microsoft CEO, Satya Nadella qualified the incident as a “horrible event”, and condemned violence in society.
Yet another prominent tech figure expressed his support for the former president. Salesforce CEO, Marc Benioff, expressed his desire for a speedy recovery for President Trump.
The core messages of most of the tech moguls were a call for calmness and wishing the former president a speedy recovery. They have, however, been criticized by radical democrats for not condemning political violence elsewhere, specifically in Gaza.
