Former U.S. President and Republican candidate for the 2024 Presidential Elections Donald Trump openly declared his hate of Taylor Swift through a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, on Sunday.

“I hate Taylor Swift,” Trump wrote in a laconic post, with capital letters and an exlamation mark that left no room for doubt about his feelings for the billionaire superstar.

Trump’s outburst came after the Bad Blood singer endorsed Kamala Harris for president shortly after the Presidential debate ended on Tuesday night, although this wasn’t the first time that Swift has expressed her disapproval of Trump his politics.

The next day, Trump already responded to Swift’s endorsement, saying during a “Fox & Friends” interview she’ll “probably pay a price in the marketplace” and adding that he wasn’t a fan of hers either.

It is unclear what caused the Republican candidate to addtionally lash out at Swift on his social account on Sunday.

Taylor Swift endorses Kamala Harris for U.S. President

Posing on Instagram with her cat in her arms -possibly a nod to Trump’s infamous line from the debate about immigrants in Ohio allegedly eating residents’ pets- Taylor Swift wrote a lengthy post on Tuesday evening, stating her support to Democrat candidate and Trump’s rival, U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris.

“I think she is a steady-handed, gifted leader and I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos,” the musician wrote of Harris, adding a link to a voter registration website.

Swift also signed the post “Childless Cat Lady,” referencing the three-year-old comments made by JD Vance, Donald Trump’s running mate, about women without children not having an equal stake in the country’s future.

Within a half hour, the post received more than 2.3 million likes.

Nonetheless, the ABC reported that an ABC News/Ipsos poll among all adults showed that Swift’s backing had little impact in a tight race. Six percent said her endorsement of Harris made them more likely to vote for her, while thirteen percent said it made them less likely to support her.

For the remaining eighty-one percent, it made no difference.

Taylor Swift – Donald Trump history of mutual dislike

Swift wrote that her endorsement was partially prompted by Trump’s decision to post AI-generated pictures suggesting that she had endorsed him, one of which showed Swift dressed as Uncle Sam next to a text saying “Taylor wants YOU to VOTE for DONALD TRUMP.”

Trump’s posts “brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter,” Swift wrote. She added that “I’ve done my research, and I’ve made my choice.”

However, the star had also openly supported President Joe Biden during his campaign against Trump in the 2020 elections, famously posing on Instagram with a tray of cookies decorated in support of his campaign.

A former aide for the Trump administration had later told MSNBC’s Chris Hayes that she was advised by other staff members not to play Taylor Swift’s music in the White House.
